Attorney Audrey Blondin of Goshen was a recipient of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Citizen of the Law Award during the association’s Celebrate with the Stars virtual event July 22.

Blondin, a former Litchfield resident, has practiced law in Torrington for more than 35 years and specializes in real estate, wills, estate planning and probate, juvenile, family and animal law. She is co-founder of Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity-Connecticut, which provides free optometric services to impoverished residents of Nicaragua every January.

Gayle Carr of Litchfield, a lawyer with the firm of Cohen & Thomas, received the Hon. Anthony V. DeMayo Pro Bono Award at the virtual event. Carr specializes in family law and has been part of the Statewide Legal Service’s pro bono program for more than 20 years.
