The Litchfield Hills Rowing Club has gotten back to the business of rowing on Bantam Lake after a spring in which it was dormant due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Club members are observing strict social-distancing requirements as workouts resume. They have to wear masks around the boathouse and dock, but can take them off once they’re in a boats. Only one-person boats are being used as a precaution and must be sanitized with bleach after they come out of the water.

“We’re trying to have fun and stay safe at the same time,” coach and program director Drew Combs said Monday.
