American Legion Post 44 of Bantam held a small and solemn Memorial Day observance at the All Wars Memorial in Bantam on Sunday. Guests of honor were healthcare workers Chelsey Warner and Suzanne Fox, both of Bantam, who placed wreaths at the memorial in a tribute to healthcare workers giving their all during the COVID-19 pandemic. Both work at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, where Warner is a patient care technician and Fox a nurse. The observance included a color guard from the Bantam Fire Company and a strong turnout of fire company volunteers.
