The summer fun scene took another blow this week when it was announced that the 108th Goshen Fair has been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Goshen Agricultural Society made its decision to call off the fair on Monday.
“It was a tough decision, but there are so many factors to consider,” GAS President Scott Fraher said in a Facebook post. “Our main concern is the safety and well–being of our volunteers and the general public and vendors. We hope you all understand our decision.”
There was also the issue of uncertainty over whether the state’s social-distancing requirements would be loosened in town to allow the fair, which draws 30,000 people on a good weather weekend, to happen.
