It was girls’ day out for the Litchfield Track Club at the Connecticut Association Junior Olympic Indoor Track Championships on Sunday at the Bethel Indoor Track Training Facility.

Six girls combined to win 10 gold medals, four silver medals and one bronze medal in the all-day competition.

The top performance was by the 4×200 meter relay team of Laila Goodman, Lillian Claire, Thilde Killan and Caroline Matkin that took first place in the 9-10 age group in a time of 2:29.05. It was the third fastest time in the age group in the U.S. this year.

Top individual performances were logged by Liv Killam in the 7-8 division with wins in the 55 meters (10.03 seconds) and 200 meters (37.57 seconds). Gabrielle White in the 13-14 age group won the 1500 meters (5:32:55) and the 3000 meters (11:33.65).

Laila Goodman, who was the USATF National Cross Country 2K Champion, showed her versatility with a first place in the shot put and second place in the long jump.
