The 37th annual Jingle Bell Run in Litchfield on Saturday drew 106 runners and walkers, many of them in costume as Santa Claus and other Christmas characters.

The race was sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Department. Parks and recreation Director Brent Hawkins and his assistant, Lisa Bachetti, ran the show. Volunteers assisting were Litchfield Track Club coach Dave Driscoll, Rich Morin, Jeff Pratt, John Keilty, Matt Sweet, Katie Pratt DiMarco and Peter Losee. First Selectman Denise Raap made her debut as the race’s official starter.
Winning the 3.1-mile race in a record time was Josh Mangini of New Hartford, whose time of 16:41 broke the course record of 16:46 he set last year. Sherri Odell of Litchfield was the first female in finishing sixth overall in 19:37.
