The Bantam Fire Company’s newly-purchased 2019 Ford F-350 is in service for emergency duty. The $72,000 truck, paid for entirely with private donations and a grant from the Seherr-Thoss Foundation, replaces a 2002 Chevy Silverado, which will be donated to the town of Litchfield for use by the fire marshal. “We are extremely grateful to have such community support,” Bantam Fire Chief Ryan Litwin said.
