The 29th annual Litchfield Open golf tournament was held at the Torrington Country Club on Monday to raise money for the Litchfield Sports Booster Club.

Seventy-eight golfers came to play in the tournament that was organized by Jon Torrant of the booster club. Proceeds help the club provide funding for the Litchfield school system’s athletic program.

The following are the results of the tournament. Each player on the winning foursomes received $50.

Best ball gross (64): Don Dennis, Craig DuBois, Jim Bunel and Jason Morse.

Best ball net (120): John Scanlon, Steve Funk, Bill Andrulis and Dave Lehman.

Scramble gross (63): Cole Leibrock, Tim Fuller, Matt Grosclaude and Tom Mitchell.

Scramble net (63): Roy Cheney, Mike Alex, Ed Burke and Brian Ognan.

Low net senior (124): Jon Torrant, Steve Eisenhaure, Dave Vigeant and Bud Pepin. The foursome won the George Telford Trophy.

Closest to the pin women: Maureen Mosca (9 inches on hole 3).

Closest to the pin men: Steve Morosky (4 feet on hole 3).
