The Barn Restaurant and Bar is the lastest establishment to give business a try at a location in East Morris where two other ventures didn’t make it.

Jan Sjogren and his wife, Lisa, of Fairfield, opened their venture at the Four Corners on Tuesday and are off to a good start based on the number of patrons who have come through the doors.

"We haven’t had a quiet night yet," Sjogren said during a busy Saturday evening at the restaurant.

Lisa Sjogren is the daughter of David Geremia Sr. of Morris, the owner of the building the restaurant is located in. The two previous businesses that gave the site a try were the Lazy Frog and Cardinal Grill II.

The Barn Restaurant and Bar features sandwiches and paninis, main courses such as cod fish and chips, pasta, lobster macaroni and cheese, chicken, steak and seafood. The menu includes burgers, salads and appetizers. All dishes with the exception of a rib-eye steak are under $20.

The bar offers bottled and draft beer, wine and spirits. Hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
