Zemaitis sharp in pitching Wamogo to Class S win

It's on to the Class S softball tournament quaterfinals for Wamogo's softball team after a 6-0 win over Somers on Thursday.

Wamogo will host Norwich Tech in the quarterfinals Friday at 4 p.m. A potential showdown with Holy Cross of Waterbury looms in the semifinals.

Cyrena Zemaitis pitched a two-hitter and struck out 11 for the Warriors. Savannah Wheeler had two hits and two RBI, Mackenzie Harnett had two hits and one RBI, and Cassidy Wilson had a two-run single for 19-3 Wamogo.
