Litchfield track Club runners turned out in force to support the Charity 5K Road Race in Farmington on Saturday.
The event was co-directed by LTC runner Jackson Morrow of Lewis Mills High School, where he is treasurer of the junior Class. The Wounded Warrior Project was the charity sponsored and a total of 196 runners and walkers took part.
The top finisher for the LTC was Thomas Wilson in 7th place in 21:55. He also won the boys 11-14 division.
Local sports celebrity Brent Hawkins was a winner as well, taking first place in the men's 60-and-over division. Hawkins was 13th overall.
The Wright brothers, Pink and Robin, continued their road successes as Pink placed 21st overall and 2nd in the 10-and-under division. Robin was 36th overall and third in the division.
The husband and wife duo of Chris and Sue DiCorpo of Goshen placed in the 50-59 division. Sue was second female and Chris was third male. Topping off the LTC team was Sue Scheaffer, who placed 80th overall after a winter of battling race injuries. Walkers Rich Malecki and Mary Hawkins also added support to the charity run.
