Wamogo's Kerri Stolle drew closer to a milestone with her 23-point effort in a 39-25 win over Shepaug on Friday.
Stolle needs 34 points to reach 1,000 for her career and join her sisters, Tracy, and Kristi, as 1,000-point scorers. Tracy is the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,924 points.
Wamogo, which improved to 11-3 with the win, plays Housatonic on Tuesday, Thomaston on Wednesday and Litchfield on Friday. Stolle was a one-person wrecking crew against Shepaug, scoring from inside and out as Wamogo pulled away in the second half.
The Warriors jumped out to a 13-1 lead and looked to be on the verge of blowing out Shepaug, but the Spartans regained their composure and went on a 16-7 run to end the first half.
