Wamogo takes on Nonnewaug in BL semifinal |
Wamogo and Nonnewaug will meet for a third time this season in the semifinals of the Berkshire League's girls basketball tournament Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Wamogo.
The other semifinal, at 7:30, pits Thomaston against Northwestern. The championship game will be played Friday at 7 at Wamogo. Wamogo advanced to the semifinals with a 49-36 win over Lewis Mills on Saturday. The Warriors (16-5) received 19 points, eight assists and nine rebounds from Kerri Stolle and 17 points from Megan Layman. Wamogo led 35-30 after three quarters before pulling away in the fourth quarter. Wamogo's game with Nonnewaug figures to be a close one based on the two contests the teams played in the regular season. The Warriors won a close one at home in December and Nonnewaug evened the score with a buzzer-beating win two weeks ago. Back to Sports |
