Wamogo swimmers defeat Litchfield on Senior Night

Wamogo's swim team celebrated Senior Night in style on Friday by dunking Litchfield 85-78 at Shepaug.
With the win, Wamogo improved to 10-5 as it enjoys its best season in history. It was the final home meet for seniors Evan Dalke, Haley Bergs, Rob Whipple, Robin Carlson and Chris Serafine. The seniors were recognized before the meet by their coach, Bill Houle.
Litchfield's two seniors, Hallie Lambert and Makenna Stanley were also honored.
Individual winners for Wamogo were Whipple in the 200 freestyle, Dalke in the 200 indivudual medley, Sean Scanlon in the 50 freestyle, Jake Rosko in the 100 butterfly, and Riley Loomis in the 100 freestyle.
Wamogo captured two of the three relays. Winning the 200 medley relay were Ellen Lucas, Jason Marika, Matt Brady and Scanlon. First in the 200 free relay were Whipple, Serafine, Dalke and Christian Wynowski.
Individual winners for Litchfield were Stanley in diving, Dan Mello in the 500 freestyle and 100 breaststroke, and Jack Donovan in the 100 backstroke. Litchfield's team of Don Protzman, Dylan Yanavich, Mello and Donovan won the 400 free relay.
