Wamogo made a quick exit from the Class S baseball tournament on Monday but not before throwing a scare into heavily-favored Notre Dame of Fairfield.
Playing on the road, the Warriors led 4-0 after two innings and were up 6-5 after five and a half innings before Notre Dame rallied for five runs in the bottom of the sixth on its way to a 10-6 win.
Wamogo finished 8-13. Notre Dame is 19-5.
Tristan Pepin had a single, double and two runs scored for Wamogo. Jeff Aeschliman had a double, sacrifice fly and three RBI and Rob Whipple and Jordan Bergs each added a double. Bergs, in relief of Pepin, was the losing pitcher.
