Litchfield Track Club runners had a busy weekend as they split their time between the New Milford Moonlight 5k on June 1 and the Raider Run 5k the following morning in Torrington.
The Moonlight 5k saw a total of 15 LTC runners of all ages race the flat out-and-back course under humid conditions. A total of 507 runners finished the race.
LTC's Sami Glass of Goshen was the first female finisher in 18:02. Sherri ODell (24th) and Brynn Bergin (39th) each placed in their age groups as well.
On the male side, Sam Chiovitti was 21st overall in 20:00. Age group winners were Pink Wright (22:09) and Uli Lynn (22:40) who placed first in the boys 10 and under age group.
The Raider Run 5k had two LTC stalwarts win their divisions. Sean Clinkscales ran fifth overall in 20:57 and won the 15-18 division while Brent Hawkins cruised to victory in the 60-69 division with a swift 24:02, good for 21st overall, in a field of 109 finishers.
