The Litchfield Hills Lacrosse boys and girls high school teams celebrated the end of their seasons with night games at the Bantam Community Field May 25.

A last-minute cancellation by the girls’ opponent resulted in an intra-squad scrimmage that allowed the girls to showcase their skills in front of a large crowd. The girls, coached by John Long, finished a successful season at 10-6. Seniors playing their final games were Katherine Donnelly and Ellie Barrows of Litchfield High School and Kathleen Hamel of Waterbury Arts Magnet School.

The boys’ team defeated Nonnewaug to finish 14-5 under coach Jason Webster. Seniors playing their final games were Quentin Copeland, Ian Donaldson, Adam Tillmann and Jeff Ward, all of Wamogo, Sean Keane of Thomaston) and Sam Maceli of Shepaug.
