Just over 100 runners and walkers turned out on Saturday for the Litchfield Fire Company's Fall 5-K Road Race.
The 3.1-mile race started and finished at Plumb Hill Playing Fields. Litchfield firefighters, organized by Brian Donohue, the director of the race, worked at aid stations and the finish line. Some even ran.
The race served as a fundraiser, with proceeds going toward new equipment the fire company can't purchase through its limited budget.
Winning the race was Kyle Halloran of Morris, who crossed the finish line in 19:56. Kevin Ortega of New Milford was second in 20:13 and Muhamet Ajazi of Morris third in 20:30. Alisa Wright of Litchfield was first the first female finished, in 24:53 and Allie Riley of Litchfield was second in 25:31.
