The basketball rivalry between Litchfield and Wamogo resumes with a doubleheader Friday night at Wamogo.

The girls will square off at 5:30 followed by the boys at 7.

Wamogo's girls take a 2-7 record into the game and are coming off a 46-33 loss to Thomaston. Cassidy Wilson had 15 points for the Warriors and will look to continue her strong interior play against Litchfield, which is 1-7 after losing to Nonnewaug on Tuesday.

In the boys' game, Wamogo will try to improve to 8-0. The Warriors routed Thomaston 80-37 on Tuesday behind 18 points from Ethan Collins, 16 from Sean Coffey, 14 from Garrett Sattazahn and 13 from Reid Turtoro. Litchfield is 4-3 after a 55-46 win at Nonnewaug on Tuesday. Tom Brady had 14 points, Evan Fischthal 12 and Matt Gostkowski 11 for the Cowboys.

For the Cowboys to give Wamogo a run, they'll have to handle the Warriors' relentless pressure and keep turnovers to a minimum.

Wamogo center Cassidy Wilson will have a decided height advantage against Litchfield.

Luke Parsons will come off the bench for Litchfield.
