Orsini's three goals propel Cowgirls in opener

Christina Orsini netted three goals to lead Litchfield over Shepaug 4-1 in girls soccer at Plumb Hill Playing Fields on Friday.

The win made for a successful debut for Litchfield's new coach, Marissa Quesnel.

Orsini, a sophomore, is one of the top returning players for the Cowgirls, who were 8-9 last year. Also back are seniors Molly Andrulis, Amber Marino, Alanna McKenna, Lexi Guerrera, Caroline Donovan and Ali O'Neill, juniors Claire Vallionis and Sydney Donohue, and sophomores Allie Davenport, Francesca Luzzi and Aileen Lennon.
