Moisture on court forces suspension of hoop game
Litchfield's Jared Guilmart puts up a shot against Wamogo on Friday before the game was suspened after just two-and-a-half minutes due to moisture on the court at Wamogo that was caused by the evening's humid conditions. The game will resume Saturday night at 7:30. Litchfield is leading 2-0.
Below, Wamogo athletic director Dan Nemergut, watched by Wamogo assistant coach Jeremiah Sattazahn, made a valiant attempt to dry the court before the decision was made to suspend the game.
In the lower photo, players mingle on the court while coaches and athletic directors from both schools decided the fate of the game. There will be no admission charge for Saturday's game, but the hot dogs and pizza won't be free. John McKenna photos
