Litchfield Track Club athletes bring home 10 medals

The Litchfield Track Club had a successful day Sunday at the Connecticut USATF Youth Indoor Track and Field Championships at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven.

The meet was for athletes competing in age groups from 8 and under to 19 and under. LTC runners brought home 10 medals.

Top gold medal winners for the LTC were brothers Connor and Samuel Duffy. Connor, competing in the 8 and under division, placed second in the long jump, 55-meter dash and 200 meters.

Samuel, competing in the 9-10 division, was third in the 400 meters, second in the 55 meters, and first in the 800 meters a winning time of 2:59.18.

Other gold medal winners were Peyton Boynton in the 3000 meters in girls 19 and under in a time of 12:35.41 and Billy Cook in the boys 19 and under high jump with a height of 1.70 meters.

Silver medalists were Ryan DePaulo in the 3000 meters in boys 11-12 and Jameson Weber in pole vault in boys 17-18.
