Litchfield Hills Rowing Club team wins gold medal

The Litchfield Hills Rowing Club’s development team earned a gold medal in the girls’ under-15 competition at the U.S. Rowing National Championships in Camden, N.J., June 1-2.
 
The Litchfield boat came from behind in the last second to take first place. Rowers were Kayleigh Langlais, Eva Wheeler, Hayden Harlow and Marley Burgess. They have been training with LHRC assistant coach Drew Stone for a year.

The Litchfield rowers also competed individually and in two-person teams. Burgess and Langlais both had third-place finishes as individuals and a second-place finish as a team. Harlow and Wheeler had a fourth-place finish as a team.

Audrey Terhune and Tom Burgess also excelled in the competition for the LHRC.
