Litchfield County Blues play to tie in opener

The Litchfield County Blues opened the Shoreline Adult Soccer League spring season with a scoreless tie against Stamford FC on Sunday at the Whittlesey-Harrison Recreation Area in Morris.
The Blues include former Litchfield High players Matt McDevitt, Duncan McGowan and Mike McGowan and ex-Wamogo players Vito Famiglietti and Bret Lawrence. Wamogo boys soccer coach Mike Wilson is also on the squad.
The Blues are back in action April 22 when they face Waterbury Cabo Verde at 10 a.m. at Harrison Whittelesey. Upcoming home games are May 6 at 10 a.m. against Henry Reid FC, May 13 at 9 a.m. against the Bridgeport Blue Dragons, and June 10 at 10 a.m. against the Naugatuck Fusion.
