A Wamogo team coming off two straight losses proved to be a nightmare for Litchfield in boys basketball on Wednesday.
The second meeting of the season between the rivals was no contest as Wamogo drilled the Cowboys, 58-25, to improve to 14-3. Litchfield has lost 14 straight and is 2-15 in a season that can't end soon enough.
Wamogo, still stinging from Monday's loss at Lewis Mills, took charge early and led 13-2 after one quarter. The Warriors put the hammer down in the second quarter in extending their lead to 32-9 against the mistake-prone and cold-shooting Cowboys.
Garrett Sattazahn nearly equaled Litchfield's scoring output with his 22-point effort. He added nine rebounds and eight assists in a stellar all-around game. Reid Turtoro had nine points and Ethan Collins eight for Wamogo. Jared Guilmart led Litchfield with seven points.
