The conditions weren't the best for the Wamogo and Litchfield High baseball teams in Friday's season opener, but that didn't stop the rivals from putting on a great show for frozen fans.
Wamogo scored once in the top of the eighth inning to grab and 11-10 victory on a day when the temperature was in the low 40s. Jordan Bergs roped a two-out, RBI single in eighth to give Wamogo the win.
Litchfield trailed 10-6 entering the bottom of the seventh but rallied for four runs to tie the game and force extra innings. Ryan O'Bernier's two-out, two-run single tied the game for the Cowboys.
