Glass running strong for Litchfield Track Club

Litchfield Track Club runner Samantha Glass of Goshen is enjoying road-racing success as she prepares for her spring track season at the Hotchkiss School.
Two weeks ago, Glass was the first female finisher at the Naugatuck 5K. This past weekend, she was the first female finishee at the Washington Depot 5K.
In Naugatuck, Glass placed sixth overall in 18:46. Also placing for the LTC were Pink Wright and Robin Wright of Goshen. Pink was 70th and third in his division and Robin was 94th and fourth in his division.
In Washington, Glass was fifth overall in 18:48. LTC runners Antonio Muratori and Peyton Mello placed 10th and 11th, respectively, and Aileen Rosa was 27th.
Next up for the LTC runners is the Charity 5K race at Winding Trails in Farmington on Saturday. Race director is LTC runner and Lewis Mills High School junior Jackson Morrow. Morrow has organized the race for the Wounded Warrior Project and the Lewis Mills Class of 2015. Information is available at www.MilesForCharity.Webstarts.com.
