Finalists set for Litchfield men's hoop league

Litchfield Bancorp and Team Benet will square off for the Litchfield Men's Basketball League championship next Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Forman School.
Bancorp advanced to the title game with a 53-51 semifinal win over the Village Restaurant on Thursday. Mike Fritch's jumper with 2.2 seconds left gave Bancorp the win.
Team Benet downed Thomaston Oil 54-44 in the first semifinal on Thursday. Former Litchfield High players Adam Benet and Jake Ziello are key players for Team Benet. Benet had 15 points and Ziello 13 in the win. Brian Mozelak had 14 for Thomaston Oil.
John Strawson had 24 points and Fritch 21 for Bancorp. Chris Levesque scored 22 and Luke Mittaud 14 for the Village Restaurant. Alan Landau had a big night for the Village with seven points.
