Out-of-Date Special Services School Records To Be Destroyed
In keeping with state and federal regulations on confidentiality, school officials plan to destroy special service records of students belonging to the graduating class of 2005 and others of students who attended Litchfield Public Schools but did not graduate. Confidential records are destroyed seven years after they become irrelevant to the provision of educational services or after graduation. The destruction is scheduled to take place on May 1, 2012. Anyone interested in receiving his or her records or those of their children should make the request in writing to the Director of Special Services, 35 Plumb Hill Road, P.O. Box 110, Litchfield CT 06759.
