American Legion Post 27 of Litchfield and American Legion Post 44 of Bantam will hold a Veterans Day observance Sunday at 11 a.m. on the Green.

The names of veterans David W. Towle and Sandra Basaillon Cook will be added to the War on Terror and Vietnam War monuments, respectively, during the ceremony. Towle, a 1973 graduate of Litchfield High School, served 37 years of active and reserve service and rose to the rank of colonel. He served five combat deployments. Cook was a medical corpsman from 1971 to 1973.

A breakfast for veterans and the public will be held at Post 27 following the service. Post 27 is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
