The Mary Floyd Tallmadge Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution continued a longstanding tradition on Wednesday by presenting Good Citizen Awards to local high school students.

Awards were presented to Dante Ferrari of Litchfield High School, Tiffany Fulton of Wamogo Regional High School and Sophia Gadsen of the Forman School. The fourth recipient, Molly Dowd of Housatonic Valley Regional High School, was unable to attend the awards luncheon at St. Michael's Church. Each recipient is a senior.

The winners met criteria for dependability, service, leadership and patriotism. Awards were presented by Mary Floyd Tallmadge Chapter Regent Jerry Ackerman.

Ackerman was recently elected regent. Other officers elected for the year were Nancy Skilton as vice regent, Susan Weimann as treasurer, Susannah Shirlock as corresponding secretary, Robin Bielawiec as recording secretary, Mary Loyer as historian, Judey Buckbee as librarian, Susan Harrison as chaplain and veterans affairs chairman, and Sharon McClintock as registrar.
