St. Anthony's Council awards four scholarships

Four accomplished high school seniors from Litchfield received $1,000 scholarships from the St. Anthony’s Council of the Knights of Columbus during Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church on Sunday.
 
The scholarships were presented by St. Anthony’s Council officers Evan Williams and Art Coffill. Recipients were John Donnelly, Anna Vailionis and Peyton Mello, all of Litchfield High School, and Mark Sniffen of Wamogo Regional High School. Sniffen lives in Litchfield.
 
The recipients are parishioners of either St. Anthony’s or Our Lady of Grace Church in Bantam. Donnelly will attend the University of Connecticut, Vailionis is bound for the University of South Carolina, Mello is headed to Clemson University, and Sniffen will attend Misericordia University.
