Litchfield-Morris Rotary Club member Bob Doyle was recognized for his nearly four decades of service to the club during its recent meeting at the Cardinal Grill in East Morris.

Doyle and his wife, Rita Claire, longtime Litchfield residents, have moved to Simsbury. The move means Doyle will no longer be a regular at club meetings after 39 years and four months as a member.

Club president Teresa Spring presented Doyle with a glass plaque recognizing his commitment to Rotary.

“Bob has been with Rotary almost four decades and during that time he has touched many of us whether it was on a committee or helping with one of our many events,” Spring said. “He is always willing to help no matter what.”

Doyle is known for his loyalty to the club and attendance at club functions.
