It was a big day at the Warren Congregational Church on Sunday, with the congregation gathering for an afternoon ceremony celebrating the installation of the church's new pastor, the Rev. Donald Morgan.
Morgan came to Warren in January and has been a hit with his inspiring sermons and warm personality. The installation service reflected the feeling the church has for its new pastor. Congregants filled the historic church on the hill to officially welcome Morgan.
A large contingent of ministers were on hand for the service, including Morgan's brothers, Bishop George E. Morgan of the New Beginnings Christian Fellowship in Lexington, N.C., and the Rev. William E. Morgan, associate pastor of the Straightway Temple Church in Zebulon, N.C.
