Oliver Wolcott Library ready for festival celebration
Litchfield.bz (11-24-17)

Marla Patterson, chairman of the decorating committee for the Oliver Wolcott Library's Festival of Trees, touches up decorations at the entrance to the library on Friday during preparations for the festival on Saturday. The event, the largest annual fundraiser for the library, will be held from 5 to 8:30 p.m. and will feature food and drink and live and silent auctions.

Below, festival chairman Colette Boyd, left, oversees the transformation of the library for the festival, volunteer Bill Jones checks out some of the silent auction items, and volunteers prepare a display of small Christmas trees that will be on sale.

Tickets are $75 and will be available at the door. A large crowd is expected to fill the library on what is always one of the most spirited evenings in town.
