New stained glass window celebrated at St. Michael's
An open house was held at St. Michael's Church on Saturday to celebrate the church's new stained glass window. The west-facing window was installed as part of a $1.4 million renovation of the exterior of the church to prevent water from infiltrating its slate roof and masonry walls.
The window was made by Stained Glass Resources Inc. of Hampden, Mass., over an 18-month period. Scott McDaniel, below, the art director at Stained Glass Resources, attended the open house. The window replaced a temporary window that had been in place since the church was built in 1920. BZ photos
