Supporters of Litchfield County farmers gathered at Sunny Meadow Farm in Bridgewater on Saturday for the 8th annual Farmer's Table dinner.

Numerous Litchfield residents attended, including Kay Carroll of the Litchfield Farmer's Market, Bill Burgess from Partners for Sustainable Healthy Communities, and Peter and Eileen Litwin of Arbutus Farm.

Farmer's Table was launched at a farm in Warren in 2010 by a group of advocates of locally-grown food. They decided the best way to raise awareness of Litchfield County farms would be to hold a dinner featuring food made with produce and products from the farms.

The first dinner was so successful that it was decided to make it an annual event. Saturday's dinner was made by nine local chefs, including Dan Magill of Al Tavolo in Bantam, Anne Gallagher of Morris, Samantha Tilley of the Mockingbird Kitchen and Bar in Bantam, and Barbara Mojon-Gugnoni of Troy Brook Bakery.

Susan Jordan and Jay Youngling, both of Litchfield, attended the dinner.

Dinner was served in the barn at Sunny Meadow Farm.
