The Litchfield Hills Farm-Fresh Market moved outdoors for the summer season on Saturday, opening with more than a dozen vendors in the parking lot at Center School.

Kay Carroll of Brookside Farm II in Litchfield is back as market master and is selling her farm's maple syrup. Other longtime vendors are Berry Ledges Apiary, March Farms, Wild Carrot Farm, Deeply Rooted Farms, Laurel Ridge Farm and Wave Hill Breads.

The market is open every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. through mid-October.

Litchfield High School seniors Hannah Curran and Mateo Tiul were selling plants grown by the school's science program.

The line was long at the vendor booth of Deeply Rooted Farms, where strawberries grown in Harwinton were being sold.
