The Friends of the Litchfield Community Greenway organization is progressing with its plan to improve a 2,800-foot section of the Ghost Trail running behind the two cemeteries on Whites Woods Road.
The trail is part of the 3-mile greenway the organization is working to create between Litchfield and Bantam. For the Ghost Trail to be improved, the Planning and Zoning Commission has to approve the proposed raising and leveling of the trail.
Clifford Cooper, leader of the Friends of the Litchfield Community Greenway, presented the proposal to planning and zoning on Monday. The commission scheduled a Sept. 15 public hearing on the proposal and asked Cooper to provide information about parking at each end of the Ghost Trail.
