Litchfield High School's Acts of Kindness Club held its first-ever breakfast theater in the school cafeteria on Sunday.
Along with pancakes cooked by high school Principal Kristen Della Volpe and volunteer David Hall, children and parents attending got to enjoy performances by AOK Club members in costume as some of the most popular stage and cartoon characters.
The AOK Club has 60 members and works to make the high school a kinder and more tolerant place through community outreach activities. The club's adviser is high school secretary Kathy Johnson.
Volunteering with Johnson at the breakfast were her husband, R.J., Jeannie Sanford, and high school cafeteria workers Theresa Goodrow and Jen Wortman. The idea for the breakfast theater came from AOK Club officer Sarah McCarthy, a sophomore.
