The first Disney Breakfast Dinner at Litchfield High School was an overwhelming success on Wednesday as a huge crowd of children and their families packed the high school cafeteria for a dinner of pancakes and sausage.
Not only did the children get to have dinner, they had a chance to meet several Disney characters who were played by students on the high school's A-OK Club. The club sponsored the dinner and will donate proceeds to the Make-a-Wish Foundation, which grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical issues.
Club advisers Kathy Johnson and Theresa Ream ran the show in the kitchen. Among those assisting them were Principal Kristen Della Volpe and Assistant Principal Stephanie Kubisek, who both cooked pancakes.
Students served meals and cleaned up afterwards.
