Daniel Sheldon was a doctor in Litchfield. He moved here from Washington, Connecticut and lived in a house on North Street. Several girls from the Litchfield Female Academy lived in his house while they were students. His sons, Daniel, Jr. and William, went to the Litchfield Law School. His daughters, Lucy and Charlotte, went to the Litchfield Female Academy. Lucy lived to be 100 years old.
