Marathon season underway for locals

The fall marathon season is in full swing for runners from Litchfield, Warren, Morris, and Goshen.

Kicking things off were Roberta Andrulis Mette and Theresa Simaitis at the Clarence DeMar Marathon in New Hampshire on Sept. 26. Both finished in 4 hours, 34 minutes. They used the race as a tune up for the Detroit News Marathon on Oct. 17.

BZ sports reporter John McKenna, of Morris, and Laurie Mosley of Goshen ran the Wineglass Marathon in Corning, N.Y., on Sunday. Both set personal records, with McKenna finishing 32nd in 2:59.02 and Mosley placing 339th in 3:33.24.
