Marissa Quesnel's goal-scoring binge continued in Litchfield's 6-0 victory over Northwestern on Monday.
Quesnel's second three-goal game of the season helped the Cowgirls improve to 5-0 and kept them tied with Lewis Mills for first place in the Berkshire League.
Gina Mastrianna added a pair of goals and Jenna Almai had one. Assists came from Emily Andrulis, Michelle MacLeod and Isabelle Binstadt. Goalie Kelly Lewis made 11 saves.
Goals by Quesnel and Mastrianna made it 2-0 at halftime. Then the Cowgirls got rolling in the second half, with two more goals from Quesnel and one each from Mastrianna and Almai.
A showdown with Lewis Mills looms Oct. 8 at Plumb Hill Playing Fields. First, though, the Cowgirls face Shepaug on Friday and Wolcott Tech on Tuesday.
