Under the lights and before a big crowd on Friday night, Litchfield and Lewis Mills played one of the most exciting boys soccer games ever at Plumb Hill Playing Fields.
There was no winner, however, as the teams played to a 4-4 tie through two overtimes. Mills led 2-1 at halftime and 3-2 and 4-3 in the second half, but each time the Cowboys were able to respond with the tying goal.
Mike Andrulis scored in the first half for the Cowboys, while Hunter Grabowski, Will Austin and Quinlan McCarthy found the net in the second half. Mark Luzzi played a strong game in goal for Coach Rob Andrulis's club, which evened its record at 1-1-1. Kyle Murphy, Adam Rhodes and Drew Gauvain had assists for the Cowboys, who host Wamogo on Tuesday.
