Finn wins in Wamogo coaching debut
Litchfield.bz (9-15-10)

Wamogo's Sarah Michaels, top, handles the ball ahead of Litchfield's Eve Mergenthaler in Tuesday's game. Middle, Wamogo's Brooke Bittel pushes the ball against Miranda Gosselin, and in the bottom photo, Wamogo's Sophie Kusaila, left, and Jen Cappello pursue the ball.

Colleen Finn's first game as Wamogo's new field hockey coach was a success, with the Warriors pulling out a 2-1 victory over Litchfield on Tuesday at Plumb Hill Playing Fields.
The rivals played a scoreless first half before Sarah Michaels put Wamogo up 1-0. Litchfield tied the score on a goal by Rosin Walsh but Emily Creighton would net the game-winner for Wamogo.
Both goalies were tested often and stood up to a barrage of shots. Colette Donnelly stopped 15 shots for Wamogo and Kaylee Cappello halted 22 for the Cowgirls.
