Former Wamogo player returns to coach
Litchfield.bz (9-13-10)

Colleen Finn begins her first season as coach of Wamogo's field hockey team.

Colleen Finn played field hockey at Wamogo and this fall will be on the sideline as the school's coach. Finn, who succeeds Brooke Harris, graduated from Wamogo in 2003. She hit the ball as hard and long as anyone in the Berkshire League during her playing days. After graduation, she went on to a four-year career at C.W. Post University, where her sister, Kelli, is now playing.

Finn's assistant coach is Abbeigh Bennett, also a former Wamogo player. They don't have a big group of players to work with, but Finn expects the Warriors to be competitive.

Top players include senior Alex Serafine, the team captain, juniors Sarah Michaels, Sophie Kusaila and Collette Donnelly, sophomores Lynn Sirchia and Emily Creighton, and freshman Serena Marecki.

Wamogo hosts Litchfield in the season opener on Tuesday.
