The second Night of Miles of the summer drew 47 runners to the Plumb Hill Playing Fields track on Thursday. It was an ideal evening for running a timed mile on the fast eight-lane Mondo surface track.

There were three records set, including a 4:48.45 run by Bob Davenport of Litchfield in the 40-49 division. Davenport shattered the old mark of 5:19 set by Roger Mahieu in 2007.

In the 9-and under age group, Owen Lacourciere of Burlington ran a 6:08.52 to eclipse the record 6:26 of Eric Zoldy of Watertown. The final record of 5:02.26 was set by Tristan Kishonis of Watertown in the 13-15 division. Kishonis broke the record of 5:07 run by Gabe Olsen of Thomaston.
