A three-day softball tournament was held at Alain White Field in Bantam over the weekend to raise money for the Blind Foundation of Connecticut. Six teams competed in the event, which was organized by Tim Deacon of Litchfield in memory of his late aunt, Rosalynd Deacon, who died in June. The tournament was expected to raise about $1,000. The Blind Foundation of Connecticut, where Rosalynd Deacon worked as a volunteer, provides services for the blind. Sportsmen's of Litchfield was the sponsor of the tournament. In the photos, top to bottom, Alan Landau of the Tri-Town coaches team follows through on a swing after ripping a single; Dan McCarty of the Rookies sets for a throw at third base; and Deacon delivers a pitch for the Rookies.
