Spencer Sass of Litchfield finished fourth in the New Milford Road Race on Saturday in a time of 45:14.
The former Litchfield High School cross-country and track standout raced with the lead pack for most of the 8-mile race, which included a steep uphill and downhill in the last mile.
Former Wamogo runner Rob Breakell of Goshen was 38th in 52:40 in his first New Milford appearance. Also finishing in the top 100 were John McKenna of Morris (47th, 53:25), Matt Andrulis Mette of Litchfield (79th, 57:51), Peter Vermilyea of Litchfield (89th, 58:56), and Douglas Wayland Smith of Warren (95th, 59:59).
Rounding out the local field were Zack Brady of Warren (136th, 1:04.19), Kyle Brady of Warren (168th, 1:07.12), Joanne Mansfield of Warren (182nd, 1:08.55), and Marty and Janice Connor, the first couple of road racing in Goshen. Marty was 225th in 1:14.11 and Janice 276th in 1:17.56.
